day 304 - 'Mission' Wii

Company arrived last night.
Today my nephew was on a mission to get my Wii hooked up.

We also went shopping, out for supper and watched some of the Iowa game.

day 299 - remembering Sue

Sue, Julie & Patty..forever friends

It was two years ago today that the world lost a wonderful person and heaven gained an angel. It still doesn't seem possible that Sue isn't here...I'm still waiting for her to pick up the phone and call and hearing her cheerful voice on the other end or seeing her trademark smile and sparkling eyes. She is remembered today and always.

day 298 - a day at the movies..homestyle

Took a day today to do nothing but watch some movies I didn't get to see in the theaters. So it was a day of relaxing, watching some good movies and a little housework... A g.r.e.a.t day for me.

I can continue to work on my friend Sue's family albums. I want them to be just perfect for each of the kids. It has brought back some wonderful memories but I still miss you her so much.

I thought I scored rock start parking on Tuesday as it was just on the end and I was on the line since the spaces are small.

I guess I have now been warned...you always need to be BETWEEN the lines, not on or over...because someday it might be my own. Seriously???

Well, after a few weeks its good to see something other than my laundry!!! I love decorating for fall...I love the richness in colors, the crispness in the air, sweatshirt weather. I have to admit, I'm not a real fan of what comes after but I love fall!!!

Now for the next month of postings... I'm so close and need to finish strong!

day 291 - Maytags are Running

Wash day...

I woke up this morning and decided I'm getting it ALL done and I did...all ten loads. That machine was just a humming all day. Most of it was stuff that is for summer and I now have it all washed up, put away until next year.

day 288 - Friends....

My friend Darc... She is probably one of the newest friends I have, but probably one of my best friends I have. God knows how to knit friendships and people into our lives and I am so thankful that he brought Darcy and I together as friends. She's great - good listener, has great advice and makes me laugh, and laugh!!! I can't believe I've only known her for a few years but feel 100 times blessed!!!

day 287 - 'puter

My niece loves playing on my 'puter. Since she could ... almost ... say the word, she would ask if I was bring my computer home. I would let her get on to the internet and play Dora and bless her little stinkin' heart she just thought it was on my computer and not anyone else's.

I tried to explain that it was on the internet and any computer could be used. Okay so I knew it might be over her head but then again kids are way to smart and after the last conversation I thought I had it convinced that the FIVE computers she could use between her grandparents and parents that she could play Dora on those.

The conversation went something like this:

J: Hi Honey. I'm coming to visit you this weekend.
B: Oh I am so excited, I miss you so much.
J: Well I do miss you too. When I get there we can play barbies, swing...and we can take a walk, and I can paint your fingernails. Pick out your favorite babies we can play with.'

...Long Pause....

B: Are you bringing your 'puter?

I guess this auntie has the "special" laptop! I took it home.

day 286 - Wicked...the Musical

My concert friend and I went off the concert path a little and went to a muscial...still singing, however. Oh my gosh it was AWESOME. I left wanting to learn to sing and dance....and be on stage. Yeah, right.

But can't say enough...LOVED it.

Well I didnt' win the lottery, darn. But one can still dream so what would I do if I won $20 million?

02. Someone to do my laundry - is that bad of me??? I hate laundry.
01. A nice 2nd home where its warm, warm and warm. Visitors would always be welcome.

day 284 - Snow...Seriously???

They said it was coming...I didn't believe it.

I woke up and thought my eyes were really blurry.

I went out to the living room and looked out - it was snowing.

Grabbed my camera and was out taking pictures at 7:30 on a Saturday morning...

But I have to admit the light white dusting was really pretty sitting on the green grass and I knew it wouldn't last long.

It was gone by afternoon...

day 282 - gals night out

one of my friends and her daughter and I went to a movie (poor Haley - she gets to pick it the next time) and then we ran to Target. I know, could the evening be any more exciting??? Haley cracks me up...so of course I had my camera and she requested pics. i perfer the hat and bug eyes shades.

october 1...the year is going by really quite to fast.

when I started this project I wasn't sure if I would make it to the end of the year.
there are days when I struggle for the picture of the day.

but I must keep going...I only have 91 days remaining... I can do this.
